Walking a Labyrinth

In a labyrinth, you follow a set path that doesn’t let you get lost, unlike a maze. Walking a labyrinth offers peace, creates insights, or simply provides a moment of stillness and focus. Read more about the power of labyrinth walking here:

The Heart of Örtskogen

Our rustic garden oasis

At the information desk, grab a map, a seat cushion and something to drink, and find a nice spot – in the grass, on a stone platform or chair, on a tree trunk in the forest – and unwind. Just be mindful of our house rules so everyone can enjoy themselves to the full.

Forest bathing on the

1st & 2nd Forest Floor

Our land has quite a bit of altitude difference and is made up of different plateaus and areas, which we intuitively gave names to over the years – mainly to find each other easily.

On the “1st and 2nd forest floors”, we have created some easily accessible forest paths. Enjoy the colours and scents during ‘Shinrin-yoku’, or ‘forest bathing’. By the way: these paths are also regularly used by lynx, fox, deer and moose.

Yes, I want to take a forest bath!

Rise and climb!

The Wild Plateau

Our “Wild Plateau” is not a dish, but quite a climb: For the advanced hiker, there is a rugged, steep path leading all the way up.

Here you can enjoy beautiful views, explore rugged and uncultivated terrain and – if you still have the nerve – take a long walk back to our property via a nice, wide forest path. By the way: here we have discovered wolf, lynx, moose and bear tracks, among others!
