Please go through

Relaxation for everyone
Örtskogen is a place of peace and relaxation. We ask you to respect the silence of nature and keep noises to a minimum.
Noisy behaviour, loud music, subwoofers and music boxes are therefore not allowed. Please be considerate of each other so that everyone can enjoy themselves in peace.
No dogs
Unfortunately, dogs are not welcome at Örtskogen. Our old cat sees Örtskogen as her safe home, and we want to keep her quiet. In addition, our neighbours have about 15 cats – for their well-being as well as the peace and quiet of the area, we do not allow dogs.
Families welcome
Children are welcome at Örtskogen – we like to encourage free play and exploring nature!
We kindly ask you and also your children to treat the environment with care: do not pick plants and do not damage trees or bushes.
Many of the plants here – including the stinging nettle – are used for consumption. Therefore, leave everything in place so that everyone can continue to enjoy it.

Smoking
Smoking is only allowed at the information desk. You will also find an ashtray there.
Smoking is not allowed on the rest of the site due to the risk of forest fire, which is significant in the Swedish summer months.

Fire
Open fires and barbecues are prohibited on our premises.
Photographing
Taking photos is allowed, except in places marked “Private”. Please also respect the privacy of us and other visitors. Commercial use of photos without permission is not allowed.
Private is private
We gladly open almost all our grounds to visitors during the summer months. Almost so – where “Private” is indicated, it really is private. We kindly ask you to respect these boundaries. Please call us if you have any questions about your stay.

Stuff & Waste
At Örtskogen, you may spread out and enjoy peacefully, for example with your own picnic blanket or camping chair.
We do kindly ask you to take home everything you bring yourself, including rubbish. This is how we keep nature clean and pleasant for everyone.

Own food and drink
Feel free to bring your own food and drinks on our premises. However, barbecuing and consuming alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
We kindly ask you to take all food waste and packaging back home with you. This is how Örtskogen stays clean and pleasant for people and animals.

Liability
Örtskogen is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage to property arising on or around the premises.
Örtskogen cannot be held liable for damage or injury resulting from extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, unforeseen natural events or, for example, falling trees and accidents such as slips and falls on the grounds.
We ask everyone to pay attention and take responsibility for their own safety and that of your company. We trust everyone to take care of themselves and their own belongings.
Parents supervise their children and are responsible for their behaviour and any damage to the premises.
Measures
We assume that everyone abides by our house rules. Should this not be the case, appropriate measures may be taken to ensure the atmosphere and safety for everyone.

Parking space

Parking with attention
When you drive into the gate, park immediately somewhere between our (wood) carport and our house on paved ground. Drive at walking pace and do not drive on our lawn or grassland. Please also mind the cats.
Always leave the exit free so that everyone can leave at their own time.
If there is no more space, turn and just park by the road, for example diagonally opposite the letterboxes. There is some extra space there. Please bear in mind that the long driveway to our property also belongs to our direct neighbours. You are therefore not allowed to park there, not even in front of their house. Many thanks.
Uncertain or can’t find a parking space?

Forest Toilet
Useful tip
There is a lot of nature in Sweden, and that also means a lot of animals. On our property live not only squirrels, birds, bears and moose, but also ticks (in the forest), snakes (in the herb field) and mosquitoes. Sturdy footwear, mosquito protection and clothing or protection against ticks are therefore definitely recommended.

Be careful
Watch out
Moose and bears are not cuddly animals. Do not approach them if you meet one. They are by nature flight animals, but if they feel threatened, or have cubs, they can come at you – and that is life-threatening. So don’t come closer if you come across them.
Poison plants
Besides edible plants, there are also poisonous plants. Do not eat plants you are not 100% sure you can eat.
